Programme Outcomes of Elective Courses

PO1 : Graduates will develop the ability to use various components of Grammar from elementary to advanced level. They can analyze grammatical structures and create sentences/ expressions based on them.

PO2 : Graduates will demonstrate Comprehension as well as Compositional skills in reading, writing and speaking in German.

PO3 : Graduates will demonstrate communication skills in dealing with situations from simple to complex in correct German.

PO4 : Graduates get acquainted with “Wortschatz” i.e. exclusive German Vocabulary and its usage in appropriate context.

PO5 : Graduates will comprehend, analyze and answer questions on a wide variety of seen/unseen passages.

PO6 : Graduates will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in translation techniques from elementary to advanced levels and apply the same in translation work.

PO7 : Graduates will explore & analyze different literary genres in German, their distinct characteristics, life and work of some representative writers.

PO8 : Graduates will demonstrate advanced communication skills in order to analyze, argue, summarize their ideas on general topics ranging from day to day life to more particular contexts.

PO 9 : Graduates will demonstrate the ability to explain, discuss, interpret, paraphrase & critique literary classics (poetry, play and short stories).

PO 10 : Graduates will acquire information through “Literaturepochen”( Epochs of German Literature) focusing on their distinct character and features as well as representatative writers and their works.

PO 11 :  Graduates will demonstrate their Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills by doing different written and speaking assignments ranging from simple to difficult levels.

PO 12 : Graduates will be able to engage in continuous and comprehensive learning.
