This course will enable the students to become familiar with different literary forms and genres in German, their salient features, trends. Students also get acquainted with the representative writers, their personal traits and their works as well.

 

Course Outcomes: 

CO 43 : Identify the contribution of literary phases in German literature. Read “Märchen” and comprehend some representative works of this genre.  

 CO 44 : Know the definition of  “Fabel” and comprehend some representative works of this genre.  

CO 45 : Explain & discuss literary classics. Comprehend  “Anekdote”of  German literature by some  representative works of great German personalities. 

CO 46 : Develop an insight for understanding “Gedicht” in German and  comprehend  some representative works. 

CO 47: Explain, discuss, interpret literary genre and its renowned representative authors.

CO 48 : Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.
