1.German Film Show organized for students on following dates

i. On 20^th February,2019 : Die Raeuber by Friedrich Schiller 

ii. On 28^thth February,2019: Der Augsburger Kreidekreis by Bertolt Brecht

iii. A German Film for Foundation Course Students : "Der Weg nach Deutschland" on 30^th March, 2019

2. Interaction with Roswitha Sowa in the German Department from 16^th to 20^th August,2018

It was really a great opportunity for German Deparment to organize four day interactive session with Roswitha Sowa for the students of department from 16^th to 20^th August,2018. Ms. Sowa is working in Germany at present not only as educationist but also as education psychologist helping students choose right area of education, cope up with the challenges and demands of the time as well as optimize their own potentials in order to achieve their goal and do in a better manner whatever they are doing or want to do. In four day session students had opportunity to ask different type of questions related to language, culture, education system and various traditions in Germany. The interaction as a whole was very fruitful for the students learning German in particular as they had first hand information about various things in Germany.

2. Guest Lecture Series with Prof. V. Ganeshan from 5^th October to 7^th October, 2017

It was a matter of great honour and pride for the German Department to organize a three day Guest Lecture Series  with Prof. V. Ganeshan, an  eminent scholar of German Language & Literature and ex Vice- Chancellor of CIEFL (now EFLU),Hyderabad from 5^th October to 7^th October, 2017 in the new A.V.Hall and in the German Department.

3. The Department of German of the IIS University organized a German Film Seminar on 23^rd February,2016. The seminar was held on a German Film “das doppelte Lottchen” based on the novel written by Erich  Kästner .Students  from different  universities e.g. University of Rajasthan, Manipal University, Jaipur, MNIT and some other institutes of Jaipur  where German is being taught, participated in the Film  Seminar.They made their presentations in German, discussing its content and analyzing, interpreting and  commenting upon  various aspects of the film and also relating it to the present scenario and the Indian society. They tried in their own way to reveal the message that the film wants to convey. The best presentation award went to Nistha Narang doing her Diploma in German from the IIS University.The second Prize was also won by Manasi Maheswari of Certificate Course in German at the IIS University, The third Prize was won by Kunal of ….The other two consolation prizes went to MNIT and  other institutes.
