Course Objectives: This course will enable the students to -
Define Children’s literature and also distinguish it from literature for adults. Get acquainted with different genres of children and adolescent literature.
Get initiated with the reading and understanding of Children’s literature and also texts based on Adolescent literature.
CO 66 – Discuss conceptions about children's literature: Literature for children and /or adult Readers?’
CO 67 – Discuss & Define Folklore, fables and fairy tales for young children.
CO 68 – Discuss : how Children's literature may help in transmission of Values.
CO 69- Discuss adolescent literature through the study of Motha und Bavani by Klaus Kordon.
CO 70 – Discuss ‘Annapurna: Meine Mutter ist eine Göttin’ by Klaus Kordon and understand some fundamental features of Adolescent’s literature.
CO 71: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.
